A dream between
two friends..

Our vision is to share Korean flavors and our identities as Korean-Americans.

You might be wondering, "What exactly are Korean-American flavors?" Great question!

Korean falvors are defined by its bold and dynamic use of jang (장)—a family of rich, umami-packed sauces like Gochujang (spicy chili paste), Ganjang (soy sauce), and Doenjang (fermented soybean paste).

At Mukja, we take these iconic flavors and infuse them into the American comfort foods we all know and love. For example, instead of traditional mac and cheese, we offer kimchi mac and cheese, where the tangy spice of kimchi perfectly balances the creaminess. And for our fried chicken, we swap out a standard soy dressing for a soy garlic glaze that’s sweet, savory, and made to complement that irresistible crunch.

It's all about bringing together the best of both worlds!

By creating a concept that isn’t defined solely by being either of the two, Mukja celebrates being Korean-American through its menu of incorporating southern staples with Korean flavors. Mukja invites you to enjoy classic southern staples like fried chicken, slaw, and even mac & cheese, all with an addition of Korean flavors incorporated.
